The Syracuse Police Department is currently investigating two armed robbery incidents in the SyracuseUniversity area.

The first robbery occurred on Thursday August 29, 2013 at 8:55pm in the 1000 block of

Comstock Ave.
A SyracuseUniversity student reported that he was approached by three unknown black males in the 1000 block of
Comstock Ave.
Two of the males displayed a handgun and knife. Money and a cell phone were stolen from the victim. The student was not injured during the incident.

The three suspects were last seen running westbound into OakwoodCemetery.

 The second incident is an attempt robbery that occurred on Thursday August 29, 2013 at 9:00pm at

Stratford Street
Sumner Street
. Three SyracuseUniversity students reported that they were approached by three unknown black males at the intersection of Stratford and Sumner Streets. The males asked the students for change, when the students responded that they had no money, two of the males displayed a handgun and knife. No property was stolen. The students were not injured during the incident

It appears that these two incidents may be related.
