Police were called to the report of a stabbing in Fleming last night and found 41 year old John Welsh unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at Auburn Community Hospital.

They quickly tracked down a suspect in the case who ran from the scene with a knife about an hour later. He's indentified as 18 year old Logan Jones of the same address. He is the stepson of the victim.

The murder weapon is believed to be a kitchen knife and was thrown away while Jones was on the run. Police are now searching an area around Lakeview Drive In Auburn where they believe the murder weapon was discarded.
