The mother of an Oswego County teenager who drowned a year ago has filed a $5 million suit against the store she says sold him synthetic drugs.

The suit was filed by Teresa Woolson, whose son Victor drowned in Lake Ontario last August 9. She says he struggled with "bath salts" and synthetic marijuana for months before his death. Woolson's suit claims that Xtreme Underground Inc. on West Bridge Street in Oswego sold Victor synthetic drugs that the owner didn't properly investigate and should have known were dangerous. According to WSYR-TV, Victor consumed some of those drugs with a friend right before going for the swim where he ultimately drowned.
