Authorities say they're investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl who apparently fell out a second floor window at her family's central New York home.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office tells local media that the girl fell out a window around 6 p.m. Wednesday and landed on a paved driveway at the home in the village of Vernon, 30 miles east of Syracuse.
The girl was taken to a Syracuse hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators say her mother was home at the time. Police say the circumstances of the girl's death don't appear to be suspicious.
