PITCHER, N.Y. (AP) _ Authorities say they've charged a 38-year-old woman with manslaughter after an autopsy determined that her infant daughter had alcohol in her system when the baby died in September.

The Chenango County Sheriff's Office tells local media outlets that the 3-month-old baby's Sept. 3 death has been ruled a homicide.

Police have arrested Geneia Rood of the rural town of Pitcher and charged her with second-degree manslaughter.

She's being held in the county jail on $50,000 cash bail. Rood's is scheduled to re-appear in the Pitcher Town Court on Nov. 18.
