Scandal again at the New York State Fair. The number two man in charge has been fired.

The Agriculture Department in Albany has confirmed that the second in command, who was just recently hired, has been fired for creating a hostile work environment.

Karl Gustafson started work at the fair just last month and was making a salary of 101 thousand dollars a year. It's believed Gustafson was fired, for among other reasons, making lewd comments at the State Fairgrounds in Geddes.

Agriculture Department spokesman Joe Morrisey told 570 WSYR that the fair has no tolerance for those who create a hostile work environment and Gustafson was fired quickly.

Gustafson was hired in early April to become the assistant fair director and was fired on Wednesday. Gustafson previously worked at the State Canal Corporation, which is where newly hired State Fair Director Tom Ryan also worked before being hired as the new director.
