President Obama continued his bus tour of Upstate New York by doubling back on the Thruway and landing in Auburn.
The president's bus left Henninger High School in Syracuse around 8 pm Thursday night and made no stops on the trip. The bus took the Thruway westbound, where it exited at Weedsport. Crowds were waiting in the dark at DB's Drive-In and other spots along Route 34 south to greet the president as his bus made its way toward Auburn. At about 9 pm, the tour stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn, at the intersections of Route 34 and Routes 20 and 5.
Obama is expected to make some stops this morning in Auburn, possibly including the Harriet Tubman Home, before heading south to Binghamton.
