An Oswego County barn fire needed 35 fire departments and 100 firefighters to bring it under control.

The barn at Sorbello and Son's farm in Granby contained onion processing equipment and over 5,000 crates of onions. Fire officials say everything was destroyed in the blaze. There are no reported injuries from the fire that took 20 tankers to quell because a nearby hydrant couldn't provide enough water. Crews remained until this morning, extinguishing a number of hot spots. The fire's cause is under investigation.
