The Red Cross has relocated one of its shelters in the Mohawk Valley due to additional flooding in Herkimer.

The shelter that was just opened in the village of Herkimer has now moved to Jorgensen Center at Mohawk Valley Community College, 1101 Sherman Drive, Utica. It will be open to all Mohawk Valley residents who have evacuated their homes due the severe flooding that began Friday. Some additional Herkimer County residents were displaced when heavy rains Monday caused more flooding in that area.

The existing shelter in Oneida at the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley at 701 Seneca Street remains open for displaced Madison County residents.
