A Syracuse man could be locked away in prison for years after his conviction on a new round of sex charges.

Syracuse Police call Mark Carrigan one of the most prolific sex offenders in the city. He has arrests for sex charges that date back to the late 80's. On Wednesday, a jury took just a few hours to convict Carrigan on 17 new counts after he was arrested again last year.

Within a month of his parole in 2013, Carrigan was accused of luring young boys into sex by giving them money and drugs. The defense had claimed that the testimony of the victims was inconsistent.
