(Syracuse, NY) Syracuse Common Councilors approved an amendment to the city's Secondhand Dealers law with a unanimous vote on Monday. It was worked out by councilmember Khalid Bey and announced Friday by Mayor Stephanie Miner as a "win-win" for media resellers like the Sound Garden, and for city police who want to stop trafficking of stolen goods. Mayor Stephanie Miner says under the amendment, music, video and game resellers won't have to detail each item in a single sale involving five or more items, or be required to wait 7 days before selling new arrivals.
