The Syracuse Police Department has arrested Krystal Thomas, age 23 of Westmoreland Ave Apt 2,in connection with an incident that occurred on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 10:15 pm.  Earlier in the evening Krystal Thomas had gotten into a verbal dispute with her baby’s father, Ron Craven. Craven had left the house to let her calm down. When he returned at about 10:15pm he found Krystal Thomas with a knife in her hand and acting very unusual. The two argued again and the fight went outside the house where Thomas got in to a 1998 Buick Century and attempted to run Craven over. While Thomas was trying to run over Craven she struck the front porch of the residence at

and she hit a parked car. Thomas then fled the scene in the Buick. Craven then went in to the residence and discovered that Thomas had stabbed their two year old son, near his groin area. The child was transported to Upstate University Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Syracuse Police Officers sent out a statewide BOLO for Krystal Thomas and the car. At about 3:30am Thomas was stopped and detained by Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department near Palmyra, NY. Detectives from the Syracuse Police Department responded to Wayne County, where they took Thomas in to custody.
