Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies  have located the 15 year old male who escaped from the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center yesterday evening.

Deputies assigned to the New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of Law Enforcement Officials from the U.S. Marshal’s Office, New York State Police and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, took Dennis Rice into custody around 2:30 pm this afternoon after he was located in an apartment at the Seneca Garden Apartment Complex on Riverdale Drive in Syracuse.

Rice, who had scaled the fence to the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center last evening

around 5:00 pm, had been on the run since. Deputies along with Air1, K-9 units and the

Syracuse Police had been searching the surrounding area of the detention center and the OCC campus throughout the night.

Rice will now face an additional felony charge of Escape in the First Degree and will be arraigned in Family Court
