A Florida nurse adopted a girl she was caring for- and then found out she had a twin sister.
Jess Hamm first saw Delilah being wheeled in, suffering from severe injuries at just 14 months old. The girl was malnourished, suffering from multiple broken bones, and couldn't sit up because she was in so much pain. The sight of seeing Delilah in such a fragile state struck a chord with Jess, who decided to make her a permanent addition to her family.
That's when Jess found out that Delilah's twin sister, Caroline, was also being treated in the same hospital. She didn't hesitate to turn her new family of two into a family of three. Read the full story here: USA Today
