The unemployment rate in Syracuse dropped about 1% from last year. It was 4 point 1 percent in August. There were about 34-hundred more jobs in Onondaga, Oswego, and Madison counties for the month of August than there were in the same month last year. 

Upgrades to the War Memorial are nearly done! The Syracuse Crunch have their first game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 13 and officials say they will, be finished by then. There’s a new scoreboard, state of the art video board, ribbon boards and 6 new luxury suites. More below and here: LocalSYR.com

The Village of Clinton in Oneida County won the honor of being named Kraft's Hockeyville USA back in April, and got to see the The Buffalo Sabres and Columbus Blue Jackets play a preseason game! 23-hundred fans packed their hometown rink, which also gets $150,000 for a new roof, new lights and other improvements. And... A Four-Year-Old Named Florence is Helping Hurricane Florence Victims! The little girl, from Chicago, didn’t like a destructive storm sharing her name, so she decided to help those affected by it. She’s been collecting donations at her home and lots of people have dropped off supplies. More below...
