Good Stuff: Metallica Gives to Wildfire Relief

(24/7 News Source) Metallica is doing its part to help out with California wildfire relief efforts by donating a total of 100-thousand dollars.  The band's All Within My Hands Foundation donated 50-thousand dollars to both the North Valley Community Foundation and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. They posted about it on Instagram below... 


A shout-out to the Barclay Damon Tower in downtown Syracuse as they lit up in the color red on Sunday night in support of SU football legend Tim Green and all people fighting ALS. Green, a local icon and NFL player, went on 60 Minutes last night to talk about his battle with ALS. Tim we all support you and your family. 

The Clinton Square Ice Rink is open for business and it’s open a bit earlier this year! It’s a perk of our early cold weather as families can go down and enjoy skating next to the giant Christmas Tree. It opens daily at 11am and Saturdays at 10am. 

This time of year is all about showing gratitude and giving back, but besides being a good thing to do, it’s also good for your health. Research shows volunteering and helping others can have a positive effect on both mental and physical health.
