Doesn't it feel like Rick Springfield is at least an honorary Central New Yorker? He made several Chevy Court appearances at the fair, with the notable one resulting in him being sued by a woman which resulted in Rick coming back to Syracuse to appear at the trial. He was then and remains today a class act, both soap opera hunk and legitimate rock-and-roll singer in the 80's, amassing a string of hits. Up and coming Australian singer Cleo Alexander asked Rick to help her with her bluesy cover of Men At Work's (also Aussies) "Who Can It Be Now?" Cleo says Rick was gracious enough to help and you can judge for yourself here. Who can it be? Rick Springfield, as usual.
