St. Baldrick's Event Raises Thousand for Kids with Cancer -The Good Stuff

CUSE: The 15th annual St. Baldrick's Day event at Kitty Hoyne’s in Syracuse raised almost $500-thousand for kids with cancer. Several people had their heads shaved while raising money for the charity.

Meanwhile, The annual St. Baldrick’s Day event in Candor raised thousands for kids with cancer this weekend. Dozens of people raised money and got their heads shaved. WBNG

A 16 year old from South Carolina, who suffered traumatic brain injuries after a car crash, spoke for the first time in almost two years. Jackson Gannon was not expected to ever walk or talk again, so this is a major accomplishment. ABC News

The Polar Plunge Canandaigua raised nearly $65,000 for the Special Olympics! Dozens jumped into the icey cold lake at Kershaw Park. The Ontario County Sheriff's Office raised the most money as a team, bringing in nearly $6-grand. 13WHAM

The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is raising money for the family of that child who drowned in a pool at a Henrietta hotel last week. She was a member of the club, which says all the money will go to funeral expenses. (13WHAM)
