We’ve been cutting cake wrong all this time! There's a better method that a lot of catering halls use but not people at home. The method uses just a knife and a cutting board. Instead of making triangle slice in a round cake, make rectangular slices.
Here are the steps:
- Hold a cutting board at 90 degree angle against the side of the cake
- Use a chef’s knife to cut a lengthwise parallel to the cake
- As you slice the cake with your knife, lean the cake against the cutting board as you finish slicing
- Finally cut the rectangular slice into even portions.
