It was the Minnesota Twins home opener, and the team wanted something a little dramatic. So they got a bald eagle handler to bring his mighty bird out and fly over the stadium during the National Anthe. But Challenger, the bald eagle, decided that Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton was his handler, and landed on Paxton as he was standing in left field. Paxton remained calm, Challenger landed briefly on his shoulder, and then the handler took over. The Mariners lost that game, and you have to wonder whether it was home field advantage - or Challenger. Hmm.
