Taco Bell Takes A Vote: Bring Back The Enchirito Or Double Decker Taco

According to Yahoo! Finance, Taco Bell just launched it's first ever in-app voting experience to determine which of two discontinued menu items will be brought back for a limited run later this year. The contenders are the Enchirito and the Double Decker Taco.

Enchirito

Introduced in 1970, the soft flour tortilla filled with beef, beans and onions rolled up and covered with red sauce and cheddar cheese was once a superstar mainstay of the Taco Bell menu. It was officially retired in 2013.

Double Decker Taco

Rolled out as a limited-time offering in 1995 and made a permanent menu item in 2006, the Double Decker Taco is basically a Crunchy Taco wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with a layer of refried beans to hold it together. Like the Crunchy Taco, you could make it Supreme. Its run ended in 2019.

If you have strong feelings about either of these, make sure you put that Taco Bell app on your phone and get to voting. You get one voter per day through October 6. The winner will be revealed on October 7 and will return to the menu at a later date.
