10yo Skips School for Women's Strike

Women across the country are planning rallies, marches, and walkouts today for what's being called "A Day Without a Woman."  It's set to coincide with International Women's Day, and organizers say it's meant to draw attention to economic equality, reproductive rights, discrimination, violence against women and other issues.

This little girl is also taking part. Her mom tweeted this photo of the note she wrote to her principle.

She explains what she’ll do with her time off, saying, “I am going to write a letter to the editor, contact my congressman, and do whatever I can to make my voice heard. I will talk to my teachers and get my school work ahead of time but I would just like you to know the reason of my absence."

What do you think of this 10 year old taking part in the protest? Is it appropriate? Is it good parenting? DO you disagree with this?
