A Customer Helps Pay for a Fast Food Worker's Nursing School
Their interaction was only 30 seconds long at a drive-through, but one Kansas City customer decided that was enough to help a Popeye’s worker, Shajuana Mays, follow her dream. The customer, Donald Carter, thought the worker had a spark when Mays mentioned that she wanted to go to nursing school. Carter started raising funds for her online and in less than three days had more than 13-thousand dollars.
