Late Friday night, a deal was reached for New York State's budget. The budget totals around $153 billion. One of the areas of the budget includes The Excelsior Scholarship program. The program will make state college free for families making up to $125,000 a year. The program is going to be phased in, first for New Yorkers making up to $100,000 a year in 2017, $110,000 in 2018 and then $125,000 in 2019. You can read the other requirements at CNY Central.
