Getting a good night's sleep is so important for your health. Sometimes it can be easier said than done. The worst is when you're in bed trying to go to sleep but you just can't. According to Dr. Shelley Hershner,an assistant professor of neurology at Michigan Medicine’s Sleep Disorders Center the best thing may be to leave your bed. She says that if you can't fall asleep staying in bed will make you stressed out as you put pressure on yourself to try to get some shut-eye. Instead, she recommends that you go to somewhere dark and quiet in your house. Listen to some white noise or meditate. When you get tired, head back to bed. You can read more at Today.com.
