This Man Donates THOUSANDS to an Animal Shelter He Never Visited

A teacher who passed away left a British Columbia animal shelter $275,000 and he never visited the shelter! The New Westminster Animal Shelter was surprised, to say the least, to get the money from the late Daryl Mutz. The generous guy didn’t have kids to leave his estate to, and he didn’t even live in the town where this shelter is, but a friend who lived there suggested the shelter as a good cause to donate it to.

In his donation, he told the shelter how he'd like the money to be allocated. $115,000 for "animal enrichment," $55,000 for animals who need a lot of medical care, and another $55,000 will go to help low-income pet owners with vet bills and to help neuter feral cats.

“We are totally blown away. A thousand dollars is a big donation for us, so to hear that amount was unbelievable,” explains animal control officer Margie Fox. “I think he must have been an amazing man.”
