Binghamton Bride Surprises Groom at Altar

 

  • Some good news from the Binghamton area; at a wedding in Vestal, a bride decided to surprise her soon-to-be husband with an original song. The couple met while the bride was in a band, and the groom said that hearing her sing at the altar was amazing. The moment was caught on camera and you can watch the full report at WBNG.
 
  • A New Hampshire kitten is scooting around an eighth-grade classroom.  Ray is a 6-month-old kitten who is blind and can't walk, so a team of eighth graders at Portsmouth Middle School created a 3D-printed wheelchair for him.  Ray already outgrew his first two-wheeled wheelchair and on Thursday he test-rode a four-wheeled one.  Ray's owner Carrie Barron said he has a lot of challenges but he doesn't know that, he's very happy.   • A California charity has given away it’s millionth wheelchair to people in need. The Free Wheelchair Mission was started in 2001 when an engineer found a way to make durable and inexpensive wheelchairs. 16 years later, the charity has sent them to over 90 countries. Read more
  • Improvements in renewable energy technology mean that it should become the cheapest option for new-energy, according to researchers. This is good news since power through things like wind and solar release less carbon emissions than traditional methods. According to the research, the U-S will reduce its 2005-level carbon emissions by 26 percent by 2020. Read more.
