The man who we thought would be the next Fair director has dropped out. Central New York developer Dan Queri is no longer interested, so Acting Fair Director Troy Waffner will continue on for now. The fair opens in about 4 weeks. We know who SU hoops will play and where, but not when yet. The ACC released their opponents yesterday and the Orange will host North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Clemson, to name a few, at the Dome. 

Crouse Hospital is getting a 16 million dollar state grant to expand its substance abuse treatment program.  Crouse has outgrown its current clinic.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller [[ MULL-er ]] is reportedly examining Donald Trump's business transactions, despite a warning this week from the President not to do that. Trump layers are said to be looking at ways to derail Mueller’s Russia investigation.  

O.J. Simpson will be a free man this fall. He was granted parole yesterday on national TV.  Now 70-year-old, he’s served more than eight years of a 33-year term for attempted robbery and other crimes connected to a 2007 attempt to recover memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room. 

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington committed suicide yesterday. He was 41 and leaves behind a wife and 6 total children.  He was very close with Chris Cornell, who of course committed suicide in May.  

The creators of Game of Thrones are responding to criticism to their new HBO series Confederate, which is about an alternate universe where slavery is still legal in the US. They say they are surprised since it’s a brand new idea and nothing has been written yet to actually criticize. 

Ryan Seacrest has agreed to come back and host the American Idol reboot for ABC. He will continue co-hosting Live With Kelly and Ryan.
