We wanted to update you on the Moravia High School teacher who was on a winning streak on Jeopardy. Justin Vossler’s five-day win came to an end last night. He’s not going home empty handed though, through his five days on the show, he’s made $110,000 and is eligible for a spot in the tournament of champions.
A New Zealand woman can sleep a little easier now that she turned in a winning lottery ticket she hid under her pillow. When the woman checked her ticket and saw that she won $8-million, she wanted to make sure no one took it, so she put the ticket in a plastic bag and placed it in a DVD under her pillow. When she claimed the prize, she fulfilled a promise to her dad that she’d take him out for a nice glass of wine in France.
A family in Austin has their furry friend back after a news crew spotted the dog with the suspected thief. The puppy, Bear, was taken from the family’s yard. A news crew was doing a story about the theft when the reporter spotted a person who matched the suspect’s description. After calling 9-1-1 and chasing the thief down, they were able to get the dog, who is doing fine.
