Thousands are expected to converge at the funeral services for coach Mac today. Dick MacPherson died Tuesday at the age of 86. Services are at SU at Hendricks Chapel beginning at 2 this afternoon. The university is making arrangements to live stream the service.A Syracuse woman is going to prison for engaging in sexually explicit activities with a 10-year-old. Kerry Smith was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The Buffalo Bills lost their pre-season opener to the Vikings last night 17-10 in their first preseason game. The starters looked good but penalties continue to be a problem. 

President Trump wants to de-nuke the world. He says nuclear weapons are the greatest threat the world is facing right now and says until they are gone the U.S. will remain the "most powerful nuclear nation on earth, by far."  

There was some graphic testimony yesterday from pop star Taylor Swift in the Denver trial of a disc jockey accused of groping her in 2013.  Swift testified that David Mueller grabbed her butt for a very long time after placing his hand down her skirt.  

Applebee's is closing anywhere from over 100 restaurants. No word yet on which ones, but they have nearly two-thousand locations.  

A man is under arrest after rushing the stage during a Britney Spears show in Las Vegas Jesse Webb jumped on stage Wednesday night during one of Spears' residency performances. Spears appeared to be shaken up by the incident, but Webb was immediately taken down by security.

Last night was the premiere of SNL's Weekend Update Summer Edition, and Bill Hader appeared as recently-ousted White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. See that in my blog
