President Trump addressed the nation last night and says that while he initially believed in pulling troops out of America’s longest war in Afghanistan, he now believes the situation will only get worse if that happens. No word on how many troops will be added, but Trump says conditions on the grounds, not timetables, will guide their strategy.

A tragedy in the city, as 8-year-old Shaleek (Careers) Carrears was shot and killed by his own brother early yesterday morning.  Police say it was an accident, but the father may face charges since the gun was unlicensed.  

Ride Inspectors from all over the state are checking the rides at the Fair after last month’s tragedy in Ohio. The also urge people to follow instructions when riding them.
