A couple in San Antonio started a food truck for the homeless, delivering hot, fresh, healthy meals to those in need every Tuesday. Joan Cheever and Dennis Quinn own the Chow Train and began it after Joan’s kids complained about stuff they wanted. She was inspired to get them out in the community to help those less fortunate. That was back in 2005 and since them, they’ve grown the idea into the food truck. They get donations from the farmer’s market, a local Trader Joe’s, and a catering company with leftover food. Then they create the day’s menu , and even hands out dog food for her guests’ pets. Check out the full story here: People
