Lysander Ice Arena needs your help!
They are 1 of 34 Arenas in North America trying to win Eaton's Ephesus Lighting’s "Light Like the Pros" promotion and are in the quarterfinals.
If they win, they’ll have brand new LED lights installed for free… the same lights used in next month's Super Bowl!
To get into the contest, rink managers wrote an essay sharing why they deserved the lighting upgrade. You can read that letter here: http://www.lightlikethepros.com/vote/entries/168540940?type=vote
I love hockey, and have played a few times at Lysander. I'd love nothing more than for them to win this!

An Alabama community mourned the loss of their favorite fast food restaurant in the most heartwarming way possible. An electrical fire burned down a 24-hour Taco Bell in Montgomery last week, and some residents took to Facebook to organize a joke candlelight vigil. However, as interest grew, nearly 100 mourners came together on Sunday night in the Arby’s parking lot next door- as they weren’t allowed on the scene of the fire investigation. Owners of the Taco Bell have thanked the community for their support, and have promised to rebuild the restaurant in the near future.

Wow, I’ve received a bunch of messages from people in Aus & NZ who are donating their ticket refunds to good causes: Parkinson’s research, animal rescue groups, fire victim funds, etc. My heart is so full of joy to see this silver lining. Faith in humanity = restored. Thank you!— Katie Diamond (@KatieMcDiamond) January 23, 2018
