A video showing a fight between students at North Syracuse Junior High has been shared on social media 1,000 times. A student is shown repeatedly hitting the other. The district is investigating, and ask to please not share the video.
Here's the District's Statement:
“The District became aware over the weekend of an altercation between two students at the Junior High School. As a result of this incident, the student disciplinary process has been initiated and the matter has been reported to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, which is now involved in investigating this matter. The District has increased security within the building and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement to make sure that appropriate action is taken against anyone who is responsible for inappropriate conduct toward others. The North Syracuse Central School District is committed to ensuring that all students are provided a safe and appropriate learning environment. Those that do not comply with this expectation will be dealt with appropriately.”
