Local Students Participated In The National Walkout

Gamble Montessori High School Walkout

700 West Genesee High School students participated in yesterday’s national walkout. Even their superintendent Chris Brown join the students in the 17 minute walkout and tweeted, “So very proud of our students today. Respectful, powerful, strong. Their silence was deafening. 700 strong.” Shout out to Camillus Police for coming out there to keep the kids safe with the weather and location of the school being hazards

A pair of runners saved a litter of puppies from freezing to death. Ashley Blake and Joshua Scott set out on a cross-country run in a wooded trail, and came upon five puppies abandoned in the frigid weather. When the ran over they found the puppies huddled together trying to stay warm in the near-freezing temperatures. They warmed the puppies, called park officials and made sure they were safe before carrying on with their run. But they couldn’t stop thinking about the puppies so when Scott so after adopted one and the rest are on their way to loving homes as well.
