UF Students Paying Parking Tickets With Can Goods

Traffic Ticket Police

No one likes getting a parking ticket, but violators at the University of Florida can now pay out of their pantries instead of opening their wallets. The president of the university says he’s allowing people to pay parking fines by donating five food items to the school’s Field and Fork Food Pantry to satisfy each parking ticket from the last 12 months. And get this! As of Friday afternoon, nearly 9,500 donations had been made to pay off almost 1,900 parking tickets. What a great idea!
