A scrap metal worker became a hero after saving a boy. Malcolm Wayman was working when he saw a woman with a child in a car nearby limp in his mother’s arms. She was screaming that her son wasn’t breathing. Luckily, Wayman had just finished a first aid course, so he knew exactly what to do. He figured out that something was stuck in his airway, but he couldn’t reach it. So, Wayman laid the boy across his knee, slapped his back five times and did compression to his chest and back, until a marble popped out of the boy’s mouth. The boy is now fine and the mother is, as you can imagine, grateful.
