Call him the French Spiderman… An immigrant who saved a child dangling from the balcony of a 4 story building is a hero. The 22 year old man actually climbed up the building in seconds to rescue the 4 year old. A crowd cheered him for his bravery and pretty amazing strength. For his incredible act, he will be made a French citizen and has been offered a job as a firefighter. He even met with French President Emmanuel Macron and was awarded a certificate and gold medal.

An 8th grader from Onondaga Hill is headed to the Scripps National Spelling Bee! Brian Kenny won the Post Standard’s spelling bee after trying 3 previous times. That qualified him for the national competition, which begins today. Brian’s sister, Alaina, was also in the Scripps National Spelling Bee back in 2014. Best of luck Brian!
