Katy Perry used her motivational words to keep the crowd going during One Love Manchester on Sunday (June 4) when the pop star encouraged the sold-out audience to make human contact with one another prior to her two-song performance.
"It's not easy to always choose love. Is it? Especially in moments like these, right?" Perry asked the crowd in an oversized all-white coat. "It can be the most difficult thing to do, but love conquers fear and love conquers hate, and this love that you choose will give you strength and it's our greatest power. So now as you stand here, all of you watching from wherever you are, standing next to a stranger or a family member or friend or loved one, let's just do this little exercise of love. Just touch the person next to you, make human contact. Tell them 'I love you.'"
It was an appropriate speech to kick off her set, which included a pair of inspirational cuts like 2012's "Part of Me" and 2012's "Roar." Take a look below!
