"Rocketman", the new movie about hitmaker Elton John's life and music opens this weekend at your favorite cinema, but this flick would probably have never happened without the guy who actually wrote EJ's tunes.
Bernie Taupin is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, having collaborated with Sir Reginald Dwight (EJ's real name) on over thirty albums.
Taupin wrote number one hits like "Candle In The Wind", "Daniel", "Your Song", "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues", and of course the title hit for the movie "Rocket Man".
