After the founder of the EpiPen jacked up the price by about 200%, allergy sufferers were scrambling to find a cheaper, generic version that would be more affordable. The FDA approved a generic Epipen and EpiPen Jr yesterday that does the exact same thing as the brand name, only for a lot less money. This is a big win for people and families who suffer from things like severe peanut allergies, which can be fatal. Read more here: Washington Post

New York University made a surprise announcement offering free tuition for all of its medical students!The university will be the only top-10 ranked medical school in the U.S. to do so. The average debt of their medical students is $184,000, and the school says there is a “moral imperative” to reduce debt.
