I know this video has been making the rounds since yesterday just after it happened, but it is so important for as many people as possible to watch it. It says volumes about the way our leaders should be remembered because of the kind of people our leaders were as leaders. Former Senator Bob Dole is a another World War II vet like Bush, who also challenged Bush for the Republican presidential nomination in 1988 and lost. His determination to be present at this ceremony as former president Bush lay in state at the Capitol Rotunda and acknowledge his fellow soldier, member of Congress, fellow Republican, and former president is way beyond moving to me. I hope it inspires you as much as it does me to expect those who lead our nation to embody the same kind of qualities as were found in our 41st president. It's clear Bob Dole thinks those are admirable qualities.
