Sometimes, parents have to lie to their kids- just a little bit- out of convenience. Maybe it's because their kids are asking the same question over and over again, or they're trying to secretly promote better manners. Regardless of the reason, many of these lies work- and they've stuck with a lot of folks until adulthood. Here's a few examples, courtesy of Buzzfeed:
