Unless one of these birds managed to escape from the zoo, this is a situation I don't ever expect to see. But in Spain, air traffic was shut down temporarily while a pink flamingo ended up on an airport tarmac, just as an airliner was landing. The jet had to slow down likely much more than it otherwise would have, making that landing a real joy for passengers. Watch as ground crew try in vain to scare the bird away. Let's face it - when you know you are that beautiful, you can get away with a lot. And trust me, I get away with even more.
