Naming out first child was easy. Rory means, ”Red King.” Our last name means, “Son of Bear.” So that all together sound powerful, meaningful, and we like it.
As my wife and I try to have a second child, we are stumped. Coming up with Rory’s name seemed easy. It was planned well in advance. Now, if we do have another child, we’re totally stumped on what to name her or him.
We keep hearing parents being inspired by “Game of Thrones” or superheroes when it comes to baby names. I don’t hate that, it jsut seems a bit…odd. But to each their own.
However, it turns out the most popular names for babies haven’t changed all that much.
The Social Security Administration has just revealed the Top Baby Names of 2018, with the Top three names for boys and girls totally the same as they were in 2017. Here they are:
