The first-ever World Series win by the Washington Nationals - and the first win for a Washington team since the Senators won 95 years ago - is a cause for celebration. Washington beat the Houston Astros last night 6-2 for a 4-3 series victory. Amazingly, it was the first time ever that no home team won a single game.
Here in Central New York, we are thrilled about our own Patrick Corbin, a CNS baseball star and 2007 alum, who pitched the final three innings for the Nationals. Corbin not only struck out the final batter but got credit for the win. Nationals fans watched and celebrated the final game in their own stadium, enjoying the victory with a Slip-N-Slide set up on top of one of the dugouts. Watch the video and marvel at the fan who decides to bare his chest and slide his way into baseball immortality!
