I have no desire to come within 5 miles of any alligator, so I can totally understand why anyone might be even a little bit skittish around any of them - big or small. But I do suppose that those who live around them have a better sense of what they can and cannot do. Perhaps that was the case when officers from the Cape Coral police department were called out to a home where a small alligator had hidden underneath a car. As the officers worked to trap the little gator, it lunged at one of the officers and things got either scary or funny, depending on your view of police or alligators. Everyone is fine, although I don't know how the alligator is feeling about this whole capture thing.
