The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 76- and many celebrities, leaders, and media networks mourned her passing with a variety of tributes. However, FOX News came under fire for using an image of Patti LaBelle instead of Franklin in their memorial segment:
The flub itself is already bad- and the rivalry between the two divas over the years doesn't make the situation any better. Fortunately, that feud has officially ended, per LaBelle:
FOX News has since apologized for the image, claiming they wanted to honor Franklin alongside LaBelle when they performed at the same event. However, the event in question did not feature both divas onstage at the same time. Read more here: Daily Beast
