It's often said that "the things we love hurt us the most"- usually, people are referring to their partners, sometimes even a hobby that they're passionate about. However, would you still believe the saying if someone were referring to pizza?
A recent study by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) found that in the past year, about 2,300 people injured themselves because of pizza- whether it's burning themselves on pizza pans, tripping on the way into a pizza place to pick up a pie, or even falling out of bed trying to reach for a slice.
The study comes right after National Cheese Pizza Day (September 5th), and the CPSC Twitter account seized the holiday's opportunity to warn the public about the dangers of pizza:
