Kellogg's in the UK is taking a new approach at combating food waste- turning their leftover cereal bits into beer! Throw Away IPA, brewed by Seven Bro7hers Brewery in Manchester, is made from cereal that didn't pass quality control standards (bits that weren't cooked correctly or weren't cut to the right size). In addition, part of the proceeds will go towards FareShare, a food waste charity. Check out more here: Food & Wine
That's a pretty cool and unique way to make beer!
But may I propose something better... discarded Frosted Flakes being made into some kind of delicious, sweet beer.
